Cancer screening for men from 45 years
Men can have a prostate cancer screening once a year.
The aim is to diagnose prostate cancer as early as possible (before symptoms appear).
Part of the examination is the "digital rectal examination" (feeling the prostate through the rectum) and, if desired, determining the PSA value (prostate-specific antigen).
The laboratory acceptance is not part of the statutory health insurance and must be paid for privately by the patient. The costs for this are €12.3
